Trifork Smart Building 3

A unique and  innovative smart building

To be built almost entirely in wood with a striking design and capturing around 500 tonnes of CO2 in its wood-based structure, Trifork Smart Building Three has already attracted attention and interest  from industry professionals, partners, investors and tenants.

The predecessor, Trifork Smart Building One,  has been ranked among the top 50 sustainability cases in Denmark and was in 2023 awarded ‘top project of the year’ globally by LAUFEN.

Extensive use of wood provides a unique ambience and a superior indoor climate that boosts well-being and efficiency for the building’s users. Substantial parts of the building materials are upcycled and re-used materials that would otherwise have become waste.

Clever use of building technology and thoughtful installations contribute to effective use of the square meters, making it an attractive proposition for tenants.

Data from the hundreds of sensors on the building’s status, consumption and its use are being collected every second of the day. In addition to optimising the building’s consumption of natural resources and its climate impact, the data is used to nudge the building’s users towards a more climate-friendly behavior and making them aware of the indoor climate conditions.

Trifork Smart Building Three wil be fitted with a digital backbone of upgradeable smart functionality, which will keep the building at the forefront of building innovation for decades.

Trifork Smart Building Three  will be  located at the new “The Spring” business park, which is part of the “Water Valley” initiative in Aarhus.
